Weekend Recap|AYS tips for the Ballet in Fort Worth, Texas
Happy Monday, and HELLO SUMMER! Summer is my favorite time of year, and I am looking forward to making new memories, launching more features to the startup I am involved with, and taking time to deepen my relationships....it also happens to be my birthday month! Here is a quick recap of my weekend, which involved the ballet, some alone time movie time, and getting ready for the week. FRIDAY NIGHT - IMPROMPTU GIRLS NIGHT @TEXAS BALLET THEATRE - SWAN LAKE
SATURDAY - LAZY LAUNDRY CATCH UP DAY, & MEXICAN FOOD NIGHT
SUNDAY - MOVING CHURCH SERVICE , AND MALEFICENT...MORE ON THIS, SEPARATE POST COMING THIS WEEK
From a very young age, I was involved in ballet. This year, My dad wanted to give the family a gift of some quality family time. It was such a sweet gesture, and a nod to our childhood. This particular week, the fam had some prior engagements, so he graciously gifted me the tickets to Swan Lake. I seized the opportunity to get to invite some girlfriends from the gym super last minute, for a girls night out. We had a blast, and it was fun to get to know more about one another outside of the gym walls.
The first question after each friend confirmed that they would attend with me was.... What do I wear? Dressy Casual. I chose to wear dressed up shorts, with a cropped blazer incase it was chilly in the theatre. We opted to eat at Taverna. It was delicious, within walking distance to bass hall, and you could validate your parking by eating on sundance square....so we didn't have to pay to park and eat! ~ Note to self....do not forget to get your parking validated! The only thing I wish we would have done differently, and Im now recommending to you, is to chat over dinner about the story line of what your guests will be seeing. Most of my guests were new to the ballet, and had no idea what to expect. Once they sat down, and received their play bill, they were able to read the synopsis, but I think they would have been better prepared for what they were seeing if we had chatted at dinner about it. Have you ever taken your girlfriends out to a new experience? What would you have done differently?
