PRE-GAME CROSSFIT GAMES 2015
What a whirl wind last week was! As you know, Matt set out for the 3rd year in a row to coach his athlete, Cassidy Lance for the Crossfit Games in Carson, California. We traveled separately due to our schedules, but our pre-game routine has evolved over the last three years, and I thought I'd share. Fresh haircut for the Bear is always a must. Have you been to the new Floyds in Coppell? If not, you need to do yo man a favor and get him an appointment there, and ask for our boy Marcus. He's wonderful, and well you can see his work below. Let him know we sent you, and remind him he promised to stop by for a WOD soon.
Post fresh haircut comes the packing. Oh the packing. To survive the four days of competition spectating you need some essentials. SHADE. SUNSCREEN. & A PERSONAL HYDRATION STATION.
For the plane, I always seem to have the following essentials on repeat. And yes people, the fanny pack is making a strong comeback and I can't say that Im sorry. It allows for handsfree check-in via security, and eliminates a purse to fumble with on top of your carry on.
This trip is different from my travels for work. It's more about function, and packing the least amount of items possible. Do you have a pre-game travel ritual? Would love to know your must haves!
